The next expansion to the popular MMORPG, Guild Wars 2, is titled End of Dragons. It will be taking players to the island of Cantha – a fan-favorite area from the first game – where they will be figuring out why the island has been dormant and isolated for centuries. Not much is known about the story of the expansion, other than you will be looking into the mystery of the island, and you can expect the end of the Icebrood Saga to lead into it.
The trailer gives us some glimpses at the expansion content, telling us that it will be coming out in 2021, but there is no official date given. Both of the game’s previous expansions – Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire – were released in the fall, so it could be around that time when we can get our hands on End of Dragons. When we know the official date of release, we will update this article accordingly.
Sep 18, 2012 Guild Wars 2 players on Mac won't need to worry about game updates launching after the PC version, as ArenaNet said future updates will be released on both platforms simultaneously. Aug 31, 2020 4:23PM in Guild Wars 2 Discussion I can't wait for this game to be released on Steam it has a great moderation of its site and far less harassment of peoples viewpoints. Steam is not perfect of course since you have a moderate amount of people that give a game a bad review because of something the company did but all in all, Steam is good in. Shortcut in word for equations mac.
But if you are looking for some new content you can dive into right now, owners of Path of Fire will now be able to unlock a new ability for their Skimmer mounts that allows them to go underwater.

Guild Wars 2 is available now on PC and Mac.
The Guild Wars series is expanding outside of the Windows platform for the first time with today's release of an official Guild Wars 2 beta client for OS X Lion and Mountain Lion.
Those who purchased the Windows version of the game now have free access to the beta Mac client through their account management page. The Mac client connects to the same servers as the PC version, and has all the same features as its PC cousin, with all future updates hitting both versions simultaneously, ArenaNet said. The client is still a beta product, however, and ArenaNet asks players to 'understand that your overall experience will be better when we release the final version,' which will be available at retail and for download after sufficient beta testing.
'Bringing Guild Wars 2 to the Mac is huge for us, because it introduces the game to an entire group of players who are often ignored by game developers,' ArenaNet said in a statement. 'The ability to play together with your friends is one of the underlying principles of Guild Wars 2, and providing a Mac client means that friends and guildmates can play together regardless of what operating system they favor.'
The Mac port of Guild Wars 2 comes through a partnership with Transgaming, whose Cider technology has powered Mac ports for dozens of PC games ranging from Eve Online to Psychonauts. The quality of those ports has received decidedly mixed reviews from Mac gamers, but Cider titles currently represent a significant chunk of the Mac's big-name gaming support.
Here are the hardware specs ArenaNet says you'll need to run the Mac client, as well as a few Mac configurations that the company says can run the client 'well.'
